EN ISO 10079-4:2021 does not apply to:
- end-pieces (catheters, drains, Yankauer, tips), syringes, dental suction
- anaesthetic gas scavenging systems, laboratory suction, autotransfusion
- mucus extractors (including neonatal), ventouse (obstetric) equipment
- devices with collection container downstream of the vacuum pump
- equipment marked for endoscopic use only, and plume evacuation systems
