Abstract

Overview

EN ISO 11591:2020/A1:2023 is Amendment 1 to ISO 11591:2020, adopted by CEN for small craft. It updates references (notably replacing ISO 8666:2016 with ISO 8666:2020), clarifies owner’s manual requirements, and adds a normative Annex A that defines procedures to determine the level reference line and to verify the vertical field of vision from the steering position. This amendment supports compliance with EU Directive 2013/53/EU visibility requirements and was approved by CEN in October 2022.
