EN ISO 21179:2013 / ISO 21179:2013 specifies a dynamic test method to determine the electrostatic field generated by a running light conveyor belt (as referenced in ISO 21183‑1). The standard is intended for cases where static electrical behaviour cannot be fully characterised by resistance measurements (ISO 21178), so it measures the field or surface potential produced while the belt is running.

- Position sensor on belt centreline, 500 mm from drive pulley; sensor distance 10–100 mm (25 mm preferred).
