Overview
EN ISO 5010:2019 - Earth-moving machinery - Wheeled machines - Steering requirements (ISO 5010:2019) is a CEN-adopted international standard that defines tests and performance criteria to evaluate the steering capability of wheeled, ride-on earth-moving machinery (as defined in ISO 6165:2012). The fourth edition broadens the scope to include machines fitted with wheels, drums or crawler wheel assemblies and adds requirements for machines with maximum speeds below 20 km/h. The document addresses mechanical, ergonomic, maintenance and control-system hazards related to steering and travelling functions. Functional safety of steering systems is explicitly not covered.
