Overview
EN ISO 53800:2025 (ISO 53800:2024) - Guidelines for the promotion and implementation of gender equality and women’s empowerment - provides practical guidance for organizations to develop capabilities, culture, policies and tools that advance gender equality and women’s empowerment. Applicable to public and private organizations of any size, sector or location, the standard focuses on inequalities rooted in gender role expectations and offers a framework for contextualizing, promoting and implementing gender-responsive practices. It is a guidance document (not a regulation) and specifically excludes country-specific labour-union/work-council relations and national compliance rules.
