Overview
IEC 60296:2012 - Fluids for electrotechnical applications - Unused mineral insulating oils for transformers and switchgear - is the 4th edition (redline version) of the International Electrotechnical Commission standard for newly manufactured mineral insulating oils. It defines the scope, classification, delivery and sampling requirements, together with specifications and test methods for oils intended for insulation and heat transfer in transformers, switchgear and similar electrical equipment.
