IEC 60884-2-1:2025 - "Plugs and socket-outlets for household and similar purposes - Part 2‑1: Particular requirements for fused plugs" - is the third edition (2025) technical revision that supplements IEC 60884-1:2022. It specifies particular safety, construction and marking requirements for fused plugs whose fuses are intended primarily to protect the flexible cable or cord connected to the plug (not to protect appliances or their parts against overload). This edition aligns the fused-plug requirements with the latest general standard for plugs and socket-outlets.
