Overview
IEC 62067:2022 defines test methods and requirements for power cables with extruded insulation and their accessories for fixed installations at rated voltages above 150 kV (Um = 170 kV) up to and including 500 kV (Um = 550 kV). The standard covers single-core cables and associated accessories under usual installation and operational conditions. It excludes special cable types (for example, submarine cables) where modified or special test conditions may be necessary, and it does not cover transition joints between extruded-insulation and paper-insulated cables.
