Overview
IEC 62769-5:2021 - Field Device Integration (FDI) Part 5: FDI Information Model - defines the information model used by FDI Servers to represent an automation system’s topology. The standard maps devices, networks and connectivity into an OPC UA AddressSpace so that device properties, relationships and operations are discoverable and actionable. The AddressSpace types (a catalogue) are built from FDI Packages and are based on the fundamental device types defined in OPC UA for Devices (IEC 62541-100), with specified extensions and mapping rules.
