ISO 10215:2018 - "Anodizing of aluminium and its alloys - Visual determination of image clarity of anodic oxidation coatings - Chart scale method" - specifies a standardized visual test to evaluate the image clarity of anodic oxidation (anodized) coatings on aluminium and its alloys. The method uses an optical chart scale (optical combs) together with a lightness scale to rank how clearly a surface reflects an image. It is applicable only to flat, reflective surfaces that can reproduce the chart pattern.
