Overview
ISO 10632:2000 specifies a rapid laboratory method for the simultaneous determination of oil and water contents in oilseed residues using pulsed nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy. It applies to residues (flour, plates, agglomerates) obtained after oil extraction by pressure or solvents, provided particles are smaller than 2 mm and water content does not exceed the standard’s conversion threshold. The method gives fast, non-destructive measurements after appropriate calibration against reference methods.

- Measurement details: Minimum total measurement time ~25 s. Perform at least two determinations per test sample and report the arithmetic mean.
- Reporting: Test reports must identify the sample, sampling method, NMR instrument, method reference, operating details, and results. Note that interlaboratory precision data were not calculated due to insufficient participants.
