Overview
ISO 11843-4:2003 - “Capability of detection - Part 4: Methodology for comparing the minimum detectable value with a given value” - defines a statistical procedure to assess whether a measurement method can detect a specified level of a net state variable (i.e., whether the minimum detectable value is less than or equal to a given value). Unlike Part 2, this part does not assume a linear calibration curve or fixed relationships between residual variability and the measured value, making it suitable for low-level and non-linear detection problems.
