Overview
ISO 12136:2011 - "Reaction to fire tests - Measurement of material properties using a fire propagation apparatus" defines small‑scale test methods to quantify material flammability characteristics using a Fire Propagation Apparatus (FPA). The standard measures properties used in fire safety engineering and fire modelling, including time to ignition, heat release rates, mass loss rate, effective heat of combustion, heat of gasification and smoke yield.
