Overview - ISO 12402-9:2020 (Personal flotation devices - Part 9: Evaluation)
ISO 12402-9:2020 defines the evaluation processes required to demonstrate that personal flotation devices (PFDs) meet the performance requirements set out in ISO 12402‑2 to ISO 12402‑6. It is part of the ISO 12402 series for PFDs and contains procedural requirements, test methods and normative reference items (including reference vests and a manikin) used to assess buoyancy, mechanical durability, inflation performance and human-performance outcomes.
