Overview
ISO 16100-3:2005 - part of the ISO 16100 series - defines the interface services, protocols and capability templates used for manufacturing software capability profiling to support software interoperability in industrial automation. The standard specifies how to access, edit and match machine-readable capability profiles (used in the profiling method of ISO 16100-2) and describes required service primitives, protocol syntax and template structure. Note: this part applies to MSU interoperability only; interchangeability of software units is outside its scope.
