ISO 17565:2003 - "Fine ceramics (advanced ceramics, advanced technical ceramics) - Test method for flexural strength of monolithic ceramics at elevated temperature" - specifies a standardized method to determine the flexural strength of monolithic fine ceramics and whisker- or particulate-reinforced ceramic composites when tested at elevated temperatures. - Calculations & statistics: Standard formulas for three- and four-point flexure, corrections (chamfer, thermal), and reporting of mean strength, standard deviation, and Weibull scaling (informative annex).
