ISO 2178:2016 - Non‑magnetic coatings on magnetic substrates: Measurement of coating thickness (magnetic method) defines a tactile, non‑destructive procedure to measure the thickness of non‑magnetizable coatings (for example paints, varnishes, electroplated coatings, enamel, plastics, powder coatings and claddings) on magnetizable base metals.
