Overview
ISO 2815:2003 - "Paints and varnishes - Buchholz indentation test" defines a standardized method to assess the residual deformation of a single coating or multicoat system using the Buchholz indentor. The test measures the indentation length produced by a sharp-edged rotating wheel under a defined load; the measured length indicates how much the coating deforms under indentation. The method is not suitable for coatings containing a strong plasticizer.
