ISO 2854:1976 - Statistical interpretation of data - defines standardised techniques for estimation and hypothesis testing relating to means and variances. The standard covers comparison of a variance with a specified value, estimation of a variance, comparison and ratio estimation of two variances, and the analogous procedures for a population mean when the variance is known or unknown.
