ISO 3302-1:2014 specifies classes of dimensional tolerances and their values for moulded, extruded, and calendared solid rubber products. The relevant test methods necessary for the establishment of compliance with ISO 3302-1:2014 are also specified. The tolerances are primarily intended for use with vulcanized rubber but can also be suitable for products made of thermoplastic rubbers. ISO 3302-1:2014 does not apply to precision toroidal sealing rings or to calendared composite products such as rubber-coated fabrics or products where a rubber coating is applied by the process of topping or skim coating.

ISO 3302-1:2014 - Rubber - Tolerances for products - Part 1: Dimensional tolerances defines classes and values of dimensional tolerances for solid rubber products produced by moulding, extrusion and calendering. It also specifies the relevant test and measurement requirements needed to establish compliance. The standard is primarily intended for vulcanized rubber but can also apply to thermoplastic rubbers. It excludes precision toroidal sealing rings and calendared composite products (e.g., rubber-coated fabrics or topped/skim‑coated products).

Tolerance classes for mouldings: Four classes (M1 - precision, M2 - high quality, M3 - good quality, M4 - non‑critical). Distinguishes fixed (F) and closure (C) dimensions, with tables of standard tolerances referenced by nominal size.
Flash classification: Six classes X0–X5 with maximum flash heights (X0 = no flash; X1 = 0.1 mm; X2 = 0.5 mm; X3 = 1.0 mm; X4 = 2.0 mm; X5 = no limit).

Measurement and conditioning: Measurements must be made after conditioning - minimum 16 hours post‑vulcanization (extended to 72 hours in disputes) and completed within 3 months of dispatch or before use. Standard temperature and ISO 23529 conditioning apply.
Test instruments and method notes: Acceptable instruments include micrometre dial gauges (specified foot pressures: 22 kPa ±5 kPa for hardness ≥35 IRHD; 10 kPa ±2 kPa for hardness
