Overview
ISO 6282:2018 specifies a laboratory method for determining the σ0,01‑limit* (sigma 0,01*‑limit) - the compressive hoop stress in the steel backing of metallic thin‑walled multilayer half bearings that produces a permanent set of about 0.01% in the peripheral direction. The procedure is intended for bearings with diameters up to 80 mm and may be applied to bearings up to 160 mm.
