- Testing apparatus and loading: Testing machines must apply sinusoidal cyclic loads with load tolerance ≤ ±2% and monitor vertical deflection with uncertainty ≤ ±0.4 mm. Fixtures, gripping devices and a low‑friction load application through the head centre are specified.
- Procedure and reporting: The standard specifies embedding depth (resection level), hardening, test frequency, end criteria, complementary analyses and detailed test reporting requirements.
