Overview
ISO 8325:2023 - "Dentistry - Test methods for rotary instruments" specifies harmonized test methods for measuring the key physical characteristics of dental rotary instruments. Applicable to burs, cutters, polishers, grinding instruments and rotary surgical tools (drills, countersinks), the standard focuses on dimensional measurements, neck strength, surface roughness and run-out of working parts. It is the third edition (2023) and replaces ISO 8325:2004.
