It is not applicable to tractors which are designed to run in two directions, where either end can be considered to be the front or the rear. NOTE In this case, ISO 730 applies.

Overview

ISO 8759-4:2018 - "Agricultural tractors - Front-mounted equipment - Part 4: Three-point linkage" is the ISO specification that defines dimensions and requirements for front-mounted three-point linkage systems used with a power lift on agricultural tractors. This first edition (2018) sets geometric and clearance rules to ensure safe, interoperable attachment of front implements and equipment. It does not apply to reversible (bi-directional) tractors - in those cases ISO 730 is the applicable standard.

    - Category 1: 700 mm
    - Categories 2N and 2: 850 mm
    - Categories 3N and 3: 900 mm
    - Categories 4N and 4: 1 000 mm
  - Narrow-track / low-clearance tractors: minimum transport height reduced to 375 mm for track settings
