Overview
ISO 9908:1993 - Technical specifications for centrifugal pumps - Class III defines the Class III (least severe) requirements for general-purpose centrifugal pumps. It applies to single- and multistage, horizontal or vertical pumps, coupled or close‑coupled, with any drive and installation - excluding the driver when it is not an integral part of the pump. The standard covers design features that affect installation, maintenance and safety, including baseplate, coupling and auxiliary piping. - Documentation & testing: Includes shop inspection, hydrostatic testing, preparation for dispatch and a standard data sheet (Annex A).
