EN ISO 19630:2025 (CEN adoption of ISO 19630:2025) specifies a harmonized test method for determining the tensile properties of single ceramic filaments at ambient temperature. The standard covers measurement of tensile strength, Young’s modulus and fracture strain for continuous ceramic filaments taken from tows, yarns, braids and knittings, provided the filaments have a strain-to-fracture ≤ 5%. Tests are performed at a constant displacement rate and the document replaces the 2017 edition.
