EN ISO 3386-1:2025 - Polymeric materials, cellular flexible - Determination of stress‑strain characteristics in compression - Part 1: Low‑density materials (ISO 3386-1:2025) specifies a laboratory method to measure the compression stress/strain characteristics of low‑density flexible cellular polymeric materials (density up to 250 kg/m3). The standard defines the test procedure, required apparatus, specimen dimensions and conditioning, and the calculation of the compression stress value (CV40) for 40% compression.

- Right parallelepiped or right cylinder; minimum width/diameter : thickness ratio 2:1.
