Apparatus Description
Test Specimen Preparation Specimens must be cut carefully to dimensions (minimum 175mm x 175mm), free from damage or markings, and conditioned according to reference standards (ISO 187) before testing.
Test Execution Multiple puncture tests are performed in directions parallel and perpendicular to the corrugations. The average energy consumption during perforation is calculated and adjusted for frictional losses.
Result Expression and Reporting Results are expressed as the mean energy in joules needed to puncture the board, reported to one decimal place for values up to 12 J and with greater precision for higher values. Detailed test reports must include apparatus descriptions, test conditions, sample identification, and any deviations from the standard procedure.
