Overview
ISO 18428:2013 - Space data and information transfer systems - Spacecraft Onboard Interface Services - Subnetwork Device Discovery Service - defines the SOIS-compliant service interface for discovering devices on spacecraft onboard subnetworks. Originally produced as CCSDS 854.0-M-1 and adopted by ISO, the standard specifies what the Subnetwork Device Discovery Service must provide (service primitives, parameters, Management Information Base and a conformance proforma), but does not prescribe link-level protocols or implementation methods. It is intended to be applied together with the SOIS Green Book and supports cross-agency and cross-mission interoperability.
