ISO 20064:2019 - Metallic materials - Steel - Method of test for the determination of brittle crack arrest toughness, Kca - specifies a standardized laboratory method to measure brittle crack arrest toughness (Kca) for ferritic steels that show a ductile-to-brittle transition. The procedure uses wide, flat rolled steel plates with a controlled temperature gradient across the width; a brittle crack is initiated from an edge notch and allowed to propagate and arrest.
