ISO 20274:2017 - “Vitreous and porcelain enamels - Preparation of samples and determination of thermal expansion coefficient” - defines standardized procedures for preparing enamel specimens and for measuring thermal length change to calculate the coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE). The standard ensures reproducible specimen geometry, controlled sample production (casting, drawing, sintering), and measurement conditions so results are comparable across laboratories and suppliers.
