Overview
ISO 20421-2:2017 - "Cryogenic vessels - Large transportable vacuum-insulated vessels - Part 2: Operational requirements" defines operational requirements for large transportable vacuum‑insulated cryogenic vessels (thermally insulated vessels of more than 450 L). The standard covers the full life‑cycle activities required to operate these vessels safely: putting into service, filling, withdrawal, movement on site, storage, maintenance, periodic inspection and emergency procedures. For carriage by public road, rail, waterway, sea or air, additional modal regulations apply and take precedence where applicable.
