Overview

ISO 389-9:2009 - "Acoustics - Reference zero for the calibration of audiometric equipment - Part 9" specifies preferred test conditions for determining human hearing thresholds used to establish standardized reference hearing threshold levels. The standard defines subject selection, test environment, procedures, transducer handling and calibration, and signal requirements so that threshold data from different laboratories can be collated and compared reliably.
