Overview

ISO 7976-2:1989 - "Tolerances for building - Methods of measurement of buildings and building products - Part 2: Position of measuring points" provides standardized guidance on where to place measurement points when checking dimensional tolerances of building components and in‑situ elements. It applies to check and compliance measurement and to collecting accuracy data, and is explicitly for components other than glass wool and similar soft materials. The standard covers both factory and site measurement situations and defines minimum measuring‑point patterns and spacing.
