Overview

ISO 8715:2001 - Electric road vehicles - Road operating characteristics defines standardized procedures to measure the road performance of purely electric passenger cars and light commercial vehicles (maximum authorized total mass 3 500 kg). The standard specifies how to evaluate road operating characteristics such as maximum speed, maximum 30‑minute speed, acceleration, hill climbing ability and hill starting ability, and includes provisions for chassis dynamometer calibration (Annex A).
