Overview
ISO/IEC 29138-3:2022 - Information technology - User interface accessibility - Part 3: Requirements and recommendations on user needs mapping provides structured guidance for mapping a defined set of user accessibility needs (from ISO/IEC 29138-1) to the provisions of a particular standard, technical report, or set of guidelines. The standard defines basic (required) guidance that must be used for all mappings and optional guidance that can supplement the basic mapping. It is intended to improve accessibility awareness in standards and implementations, not to evaluate or certify standards.

- New potential user accessibility needs can be proposed (identifier “99” for preliminary entries) and submitted to ISO/IEC JTC 1/SC 35 for consideration.
