Overview
EN ISO 10893-3:2011 specifies requirements for automated full-peripheral magnetic flux leakage (MFL) testing of seamless and welded ferromagnetic steel tubes (excluding submerged arc-welded - SAW - tubes). The standard covers detection of predominantly longitudinal and, by agreement, transverse imperfections, and applies to tubes with an outside diameter of ≥ 10 mm. It can also be applied to hollow sections and is intended for in-line inspection after primary production processes.
